Employment

To get your first paid job in New Zealand you need to be patient, active job seeker, qualified and experienced in your chosen area of expertise. This in case you haven't arranged for your employment before arriving New Zealand.

If you are a skilled migrant your qualifications should have been evaluated by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) before you leave for New Zealand, if not, you need to do that by calling: 04 463 3000 or visiting: www.nzqa.govt.nz.

Manukau City Libraries

Manukau Libraries has 13 branches all spread around the city with a mobile library service as well as 5 rural libraries.

We have computers where the public can access free internet, use other microsoft applications like word, excel, frontpage etc. Libraries are also information centres and the face of Council and we are able to direct people to many of the services that are listed in the directory.
