REFUGEE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

ARMS continues to offer employment support for refugees and the next programme of formal workshops for refugee jobseekers will take place in early December 2007.

The dates are Wed Dec 5 and Fri Dec 7, Wed Dec 12 and Fri Dec 14. The workshops run from 9.30am - 2.30pm and lunch and all resources are provided.

Participants are expected to attend all four workshops, which cover many aspects of finding work in New Zealand, including CV and letter-writing assistance, interview skills, understanding NZ workplace culture, where to find jobs, confidence building, as well as presentations from potential employers.
