CAB LANGUAGE LINK

The CAB Language Link ensures that language need not be a barrier to people who lack confidence or skills in the English language, or for those who are seeking assistance with their settlement into a new country.

This service is a branch of the New Zealand Association of Citizens Advice Bureau that is co-located in the ARMS Centre to provide free, confidential information, support, advice and advocacy for migrants and refugees in 26 languages.

The highly dedicated and experienced CAB interviewers provide interpretation of information about a wide range of settlement needs, queries, problems and relevant services for new settlers.

The information is regularly updated and supported by trained staff using an extensive CAB database and can help all people in the Auckland Region by telephone, email or 'face-to-face' interviews.

CAB Language Link also offers a national telephone service which again is free if accessed through one of the 90 local Citizens Advice Bureau throughout New Zealand or the New Zealand Settlement Support Coordinators.
