If you are a Newcomer to Auckland, our Settlement Support staff can provide you with personalised support through information, workshops and referral to other organisations. Check out SSNZ Auckland and Manukau for local information. You can also network with other newcomers through the Newcomer Discussion Forum. For volunteer work opportunities, see our Volunteer Workplace Opportunities for Newcomers programme.

Funded by the Ministry of Social Development, ARMS Employment Assistance Programme offers a range of services to help you find suitable employment in Auckland. The ARMS Employment Team can provide you with valuable information, advice and support, either through workshops or individually.

English advisory service

We provide the following:

  • Free English Language Advisory Clinic
  • English Language Assessment: Written and Spoken (Fee)
  • Pronunciation Course (Fee)
